WelcomeFormed in 1999, the Michigan Association of Naturopathic Physicians (MANP) is a professional association of naturopathic doctors (NDs) who live and work in Michigan. The membership requires a graduate degree (ND) from a federally recognized and accredited college or university offering a degree in Naturopathic Medicine. Our members are graduates of accredited four-year, doctoral level, in-residence naturopathic medical programs. The MANP is dedicated to advancing the principles of naturopathic medicine and expanding Michigan's consumers' access to this important health care. Our goals include the education of citizens of Michigan in natural medicine, the expansion of the number of practicing physicians, and the eventual licensing by the State of Michigan. A Naturopathic Physician (ND) is a primary care general practitioner trained as an expert in natural medicine. Naturopathic Medicine concentrates on whole patient wellness, it tailors the medicine to the individual patient, and it emphasizes prevention and self care. Types of treatment include: Clinical Nutrition, Homeopathy, Botanical Medicine, Physical Medicine, Natural Childbirth, Oriental Medicine, Counseling and Stress Management and Minor Surgery. |
